Born on the 22nd of November, the day of Saint Cecilia. For all the efforts of my mother in wanting me to become a musician, in the end I became interested in another art, photography.
I come from the small village of Rossell, in the Baix Maestrat region of Castellon. Despite loving travelling I always end up back at home. I have a degree in tourism from the University Jaume I (UJI) in Castellón, and during Erasmus was able to study in Nicosia, Cyprus. During the second cycle of my Bachelor’s degree I studied Audiovisual Communication and started to put photography to the test.
Later, I was lucky to find work in Barcelona as an audiovisual post-producer at the same time as gaining a Postgraduate in Writing Scripts fot Television Guides for Entertainment and Comedy Programmes at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and El Terrat, we should look at life with a sense of humour!
But, I am not made for city life and I returned to where I am now, in Vinaros, working in the audiovisual field as a producer. A year later I became self-employed and became involved in local projects with Mira que bo! And later joined the team at evadirte!com.
Finally, I chose to concentrate on photography and started a project together with Jordi Febrer, Piano Piano, but in the end decided to set my individual project to get here: Marc Prades – Photographer, welcome!
